MTCC is a multi-phase process that gives participants ample opportunity to learn about medical technology commercialization. Participants will assemble in multidisciplinary teams that include Entrepreneurs-in-Readiness (EIRs) to design solutions to medical challenges, assess technologies and markets, and write commercialization plans. Awards will be given to those teams with the most promising commercialization plans, for further advancement toward market.
Participants must create their profiles at www.younoodle.com and link it to the UC Davis Partnerships for Innovation group (http://younoodle.com/groups/uc_davis_partnerships_for_innovation), as well as join a multidisciplinary team focused on a medical challenge/solution. Activities Phase 1: Kickoff event , speed networking & team formation Phase 2: Educational programs: UC Entrepreneurship Academy intensive, SARTA and MedStart workshops, etc. Phase 3: Commercialization plan competition, with plans due: May 5, 2011 (changed from the previously scheduled March 31st).
